Late post due to TAY website problems on the 12th...
Ski Report - Nice colder temps, high overcast early with lots of
sun as I bailed. Grooming based on conditions is awesome except for
100 ft on the cat track to LS on the Rainier side...only way to go
if your leaving GV (other than hiking up), I preferred the front side
cat track above the Doors (less jerk downhillers and better quality).
Skied way north for me this season all the way to Elksnort bowl and
one to the run coming down from NW chair...Valley groomers skied
great - Pro Course!, Bills Face! and the runs below Grubstake. Mostly
skied LS which was pretty nice and did a couple runs on FQex (Downhill
and Queens to Slow Silver for #1). Finished with one last run down
LS to Skidroad (new name?)...my quads are now tired. Got my YTD and STD
day for the season (Year and Season to date vert max....not saying
much this season for me). Thanks CD for making me go way north and
skiing so many Valley runs.
Other - Picked up a cold pizza at the base, CB lodge still closed, ultra
light crowd. Very pleasant when I left.
Other Other - Special folks lot pretty empty, rest of A lot had a couple
of rows of cars and some buses, B and C were almost empty (ouch for
Crystal). Drive up way to early and down pleasantly early was nice with
very light traffic. Had fun on Lincolns Birthday...I always ski on his
birthday!
