I was a bit surprised by the day. The weatherman said lows last night not dipping below freezing and highs today in the mid-40s. That means spring skiing to me. It was not to be. The few times I've ventured off the groomers it was the same old frozen crap that we've had all winter. Groomers are holding up surprisingly well. There were actually less brown spots, puckerbrush and rocks than they were on Tuesday, although I did hit a couple of rocks on Bigger Chief { Kehrs }. Hats off to the grooming crew. The groomers were a bit softer and they were on Tuesday as the sun did its thing. It still stayed pretty firm in a lot of places. Skyline had a race on it and so half of it was netted off. There was only a small line on Hogs, all other lifts were skiing on. The backside and Seventh remain closed. And oh yes, beautiful sunshine all day.
