Ski Report - Probably getting kinda repetitious... Pretty much a repeat every day...
Except more so....and happily for me and sort of #1 the lack of participation is
sad for the accountants, but great for quality grooming on limited runs...We
jumped onto CHex at 8:48 and we were the second customers.
Shortish version - Partly Sunny all morning...started looking bad and then the
Rainier hole would reappear, Not to warm for me, actually liked my new brain bucket
till I got to the parking lot on an ultra short day, Rocks( I picked up a lot today...
why don't the Ski Patrol pick any up...except for the Ferkinator who I got lucky
to have one social down LS), some icy spots, ultra lack of participation, mostly fun,
limited options but the cat crew has been doing a great job. Xtal was blowing powder
stuff around the base and between Rex and FQex, was not to bad quality. Groomers, I did
where pretty okay for carving SL turns.
More words - Promised to be exceedingly nice for me and start the day with a few
runs on FQex with #1...knock on wood...kinda lucky...Started with happy turns down
Queens and in the 20 lane freeway below CH6 in prime skiing...#1 took her biggest
yard sale in years! OUCH! Heard the Shreck and saw the end part...fortunately we
had a ski patrol lady behind us helped the recovery process..."need a sled" NO?
We did a few more runs on FQex Queens before the adrenaline faded and she had some
break time at the base...I being selfish rode up to the top and did a few LS runs and
picked up rocks....Right now #1 is achy...tomorrow will be the big test.
Other - Drove up happily way to early...empty parking lot, empty lodge. I'd heard
about the biscuits and gravy at the coffee shop...had a half order just cause...
pretty good but won't be a regular thing. When I finally showed up to quit, checked
the pizza situation at the base...ouch! Chicken pesto heaven, very good...half is
in the fridge.
Other Other - Drove up way to early on empty roads (starting to get light now),
drove down early and happy speed. Special folks lot had some cars? A lot had
about a row and a half, B and C might have been pushing 1/3ish...Ouch for Crystal.
