Stevens, Sunny but Firm
With afternoon temperatures in the mid-40s I thought it would soften up a lot more than it did. A lot of areas, especially the shady spots, stayed icy. I had to dig out my pile skiing skills. The mountain really suffered from the last atmospheric river. There are a lot of holes, bare spots and puckerbrush. Off piste was frozen impossible. The backside was closed because of lack of snow.
Now the good, no lift lines anywhere, some areas did soften up. There is still enough snow so they could groom most of the front side, so I spent my day bombing the groomers. It was a beautiful, beautiful sunny day.
