Stevens, Thursday, powder pig city
Stevens was closed yesterday because of a power outage and it dumped a bunch, therefore every powder pig, including us, went up today. We were there before the lifts opened and waited in the big line. Fortunately the lines dissipated a bunch after the opening frenzy. The snow was Stevens Pass powder which means a bit thick and heavy [work]. Things have improved since Tuesday. There were still some scraped off spots in the groomers, but the coverage was noticeably better. We were able to get off piste quite a bit today in spite of it being challenging. The visibility was not bad. All the parking lots were full, there was a lot of pent-up frustration because of the very late start to the season. Glad to be out, happy we went.
