Going to sell our 1/4 share at Legends after a fantastic 25 year run. Probably moving to a spot 6 miles from Mission Ridge. I know I’ve posted a few trip reports over the years up here…
Last report is probably the worst. Since I do know that sunshine makes Spring Corn - I knew what I was getting into. Forecast was for lots of rain and was correct except for yesterday.
Since it’s still cold, the top was frozen, and the few groomed runs were badly groomed because of the conditions. Of course it was foggy and either rain, wintery
mix, or wet snow. There were large frozen bumps on the tip of Cloud Nine that will be frozen till Thanksgiving….Fantastic transitional snow (10 meters long) before rain soaked mashed potato’s. This had the tight legged “Park” skiers in true straight line form, as they could not turn.
Last run gamble worked, and Pakalolo, Staircase, Zig Zag made the long weekend.
Raining at Creekside this morning and cold again on top..probably nothing to say about the last day.
Stay steep, and the lift line is the best line!
