Ski Report - End of season crowd to start the morning...very warm in the sun,
ultra happy soft everywhere we went from the start (except for some north
facing areas). #1 started on FQex and showed up way earlier than expected
at REX! I started skiing GV baby Pro to Bills Face and also the main line
groomer off of GVex to lower Grubstake runs...then started skiing LS to
Gandys (Gandys was already to soft and slow)...LS was skiing nicely and
the warm wax on my Coombas was working nicely...only had a few places
that were kinda sticky slow. Fun morning other than #1 faded kinda early
in the soft mush. Last run up top was down GV Bowl center right of the
serpentine snow boarder run...twas very nice and I should have done it
many more times! Bailed out around 11:30ish after harassing Guest Services
and buying a REX 88 ending T-shirt and Hat! Nice old school logos! Brown is
showing in lots of places, but Cory's cat crew has been doing an incredible
job filling in the slopes! Snow is melting and its lucky that this is the
last weekend for REX...though conditions are still prime on FQex from what
I noticed on my very very last run over there for the day!
Other - Short morning so no food reports from me...apparently #1 had glutonie
food at the base.
Other Other - Not many Special folks showed up today, rest of A was pushing
way past 1/4 full...B only had a few rows as did C lot. Drive up way to
early was pleasant with not many Elk noticed (except for someplace?)...Drive
down was also very nice and at speed mostly...Big fun day! Not many left! Hope
I have some more energy left for Sunday fun!
