Ski Report - Sunny! Nice! Soft! Ultra light crowd!
Grooming good enough! Icy firm shady areas, happy
soft fun till it became ouch stuff late morning.

More words....
Drove almost weekday late...and it was a fast
drive...Was Stressed pulling into my parking space...twas
saved...sort of just for me...Base area was full of more
Knuckle draggers (SORRY Snow boarders!!!) for the big comp!
Luckily none of them at CHex..small line up and loaded
weekend typical - 8:30. Twas soft from the start on LS...
I waited a little too long to do MIFB...soft, massive bumps and
ultra wimpy quads! The Banked Slalom crowd was massive and
happily standing around for their runs. And that course is
impressive! I wimped out and did many LS/Gandy! runs.
Bailed out kinda early to ride FQex for a pleasant run down
Queens to SnowGarden to very pleasant Slow Sliver slopes...
for #1...she would have liked it.

Other-Didn't Walk into any food areas today...except for
the Starbucks shop at the base as I left...almost picked up a
sandwich.

Other 0ther - Lots of Special folks but still a lot of parking
for them...rest of A pushing way past 1/3 full...But B lot was
almost full when I left as was C lot...and it was a river
of folks driving up on the Blvd and 410...put it was only
11am...ouch! Drive up was record setting time after a few high
speed passing early. Noticed a bunch of Elk somewhere? Drive
down was happy and stress free? Big Fun morning and my
quads are hurting....aaahhh what will tomorrow bring?

I started skiing about 9:45 o'clock-ish. A couple warm-ups on Forest Queen then Lucky Shot which was pretty good early but quickly became a bump fest. The banked slalom made Upper Ferks really narrow and it being the only access to Ferkberg made for Ferkberg being a one and done, also it was big moguls and a few bare spots. I survived it by going off the main run skiers right. There were some lift lines especially in Green Valley but by taking the singles line it was never more than five minutes. Forest Queen had some lines too but you could avoid it by deciding which side to go. There are some really good skiing on the Gondy Face of Green Valley and in Snorting Elk, skiers right, off of the main run. The snow held up pretty well but I don't know about next weekend it's really gonna be a wait and see. The only slow sticky spots were on my final run back to the base, however I did reapply yellow wax a couple times during the day. I knocked off at about 2:30 and I actually had on the Hawaiian shirt today.
