Ski Report - Hamster Heaven from the start...at least on LS and
Pro/MIFB! and after an hour or so the morning became GV Bowl center to
MIFB and repeat. Light early crowd, big blue bird sky with light winds
and pleasant early morning temps. Groomers still good but MIFB was kinda
entertaining early and got better and better every run after....paused
at the top of MIFB one time late morning and looked down at what looked
like an ant swarm! OUCH! Didn't do anything big...should have done PB
today since Sunday sounds like the end of the season for High Campbell...
will not be pretty the next few days, since it will be a heck of a lot cooler...only
noticed a few folks skiing PB and from their skiing it looked to early!
Nice corn snow conditions with no real noticeable sticky snow. Lift
lines and crowds were picking up as I bailed. Coverage is getting thinner
around the base but up top is still very nice. Great day to be able to
ski!
Other - Passed through CB lodge to check out the Friday food selection...
no pizza (oven warming for tomorrow?...could have done that yesterday).
Passed through the base cafeteria and the special pizza enticed me to
buy one...was tasty on the drive home.
Other Other - Lots of special folks showed up today, rest of A was
pushing 2/3's, B had cars way passed the Honey Bucket station and C
actually had a heck of a lot of cars...lots of cars heading up as I
was leaving. Drive up was very pleasant with lots of lowland elk
noticed...not far from where I live and just north of Krain corner...
sad part of the drive up was getting stuck just before Greenwater for
DOT road striping! OUCH! Why does that happen every year during the
last full week of Crystal operations? Drive down was happier till
the Blackdiamond fire truck headed home from Krain corner! OUCH!
Should have realized that was and omen! Otherwise, a great fun day!
Other Other Other - I bailed out later than typical and bumped into
RB2 and his special lady...they have afternoon passes and I had not
talked to them in way to long...and todays conversation ended up
being way to long...based on my drive home, but it was nice talking
to them.
