Ski Report - Ultra light crowd to start the day, big blue sky, very
firm snow in places...LS was prime from the start and lasted nicely
till I started doing GV Bowl (centerish line) and MIFB which started
perking happy by 10am...and hamster mode kicked in...beat myself up till
around 11ish when I finished my morning with a very pleasant run down
old Sunnyside proper line! Wish I was 10 years younger and still skied
till the afternoon (ha ha). Didn't get hot, but if I had skied just a
little longer the Hawaii shirt might have seen the sunshine. No lift
lines on GVex early and REX all morning...never made it over FQex way.
PB looked very nice but noticed very few folks trying it...should have
been great by 1pm. Coverage still looks great to me, but a week of
warm sun might change all that....
Other - Ate snacks on the chair, so no clue about food at the base food
court. Special folks lot had a lot of space available as did the rest
of A lot (quarter fullish?), B didn't make the Honey Bucket station, C had
a fair number of cars. Drive up early was pleasant in the now early morning
light. Only elk party was up by the Loge area...haven't seen many Elk around
there in a long time. Drive down was pleasant till the road construction zones.
Very fun morning, hope I'll be able to walk (and ski) tomorrow.
PS I know that Xtal might be open on Memorial Day...if lucky and that will
only be the Valley.
