It was another beautiful sunny day in the Cascades. We started skiing a bit after 11 o'clock and the snow was in pretty good shape on the groomers. It got a bit more challenging as the day went on as things got a bit more scrappy in the troughs and piled up spring snow on the moguls. MIFB was a lot better earlier as was Lucky Shot. On Forest Queen Downhill stayed pretty good, Rolling Knolls never really softened. It was a bit firm even at 3 o'clock. Green valley and Sorting Elk skied well The parking lots were pretty full, even D and E but there were never any bad lift lines. Nobody was making it look good on the front side or Powder Bowl. It was definitely worth going.

Skied frontside a number of times that afternoon including memorial, breakover, and followed the "sunnyside sliders sans jackets" who I know from decades past who did a great job ripping it up. Lower ferks had lots of untracked glop and skied well too. My only complaint was the grease and dirt accumulation under CHEX just above the base of bull run which looked nasty but was fast enough. Ditto report for 4/14
