Crystal 3/26pm -- Bluebird ghost town was created by RB2
A repeat of Tuesday... sunny, not windy, soft snow but nobody came. 5-6 rows in A-lot when we arrived ~12:45, maybe 10 cars handicapped, C-lot half full, and nobody on the slopes. Guessing people feared the nasty storms and wind forecasts. GV bowl, MIFB, frontside, and LS skied great. Got sticky towards base of rex but manageable.

Yeah, lowest turnout I’ve seen this year. Lots of kids skiing shirtless. Groomers were good till about noon then got grabby. Off piste was rough going. Deep mashed potatoes. Can see why they had the steep stuff closed/ lots of point releases and large rollerballs chasing you down the slope.

The NWAC avy report from earlier today showed an interesting pic, atta, from crystal pro patrol that explains a lot about CM concerns about the snowpack situation. Unclear exactly where this was taken but I suspect it was in Penny Dawgs where it funnels into a steep section where the terrain goes steep just SE of the cliff band along riders right midway up the northway chair. I've skier cut that section multiple times and rely on those middle trees as a safe haven in the past. Curious what patrol or others know about this.
