Ski Report - High overcast, felt cold to my old bones, only an inch or so
new which skied nice in places like Pro Course and West Face areas...not so
great in areas groomed after last nights massive snowfall...like MIFB - Ouch
my run down it early in kinda flat light (where is that funny ridge or bump in
the grooming?), LS was better in that regard. #1 had a good early morning
on FQex with the lack of early participation from the $62 crowd. Noticed a
few folks poking around off piste, but not many repeats. Vis and sunlight
improved late morning. Didn't really notice to bad an impact from the $62
late arriving crowd...lift lines were pleasant mostly.
Other - Paused with #1 at CB lodge...cant remember what the pizza special
was, but it sounded good...I had my last half a Hess sandwich...#1 had the
Chili Briquet...for the first and last time. Fair crowd in the lodge.
Other Other - Special folks parking was big and very full...more every day.
Rest of A was pushing a quarter full...BUT! B was completely overfull as was
C lot...with cars filling D lot and that was pretty much it...lots of folks
somewhere on the mountain again. Drive up was okay after the pain in
Blackdiamond...drive down was even better since we drove the scenic route
around Blackdiamond. Had a fun short day as usual.
