Ski Report - Nice day with early high filtered sun which turned into ultra
blue by noon. Very icy firm early...especially MIFB which by 10 was turning
into perfect carving corn...even my last run down MIFB was better than yesterday.
Did the lazy typical hamster runs...LS and GV Bowl/MIFB. Fairly light crowd
early (not many mid hard-core regulars), no lift lines to speak of. I never got
hot while I was there, but the telemetry makes it look like this afternoon was
really finally true spring like skiing. Noticed more people skiing PB late
morning...some making it look good...others not so much. Very fun morning.
Other - Headed to CB lodge to say good by to one of the nicest Argentinians
since his last day is Sunday. Bad thing is I got sucked into buying another
slice of pizza...Chicken with Alfredo sauce (very good). Want to thank Binx
for not accepting the half Hess sandwich I offered him yesterday...it was still
very good today. Also, while I was in CB lodge had a nice conversation with Scotsman
who was heading way out south...would be nice if he still posted reports.
Other Other - The special folks parking was packed today, rest of A was pushing
half full, B looked 3/4 full but with parking lot attendants helping it
might really have made half full, C had lots of cars and that was about it.
Ultra early drive was very happy and noticed elk as I was leaving the Village
area....the drive down was the typically early pleasant time...till
I got to Blackdiamond...ouchy!
