Went up for the last week of February and it was very good, but difficult, conditions in the Alpine. Saturday was Windblown up high with 6 plus inches new. Sunday similar…Monday was less windblown, and Tuesday was a Bluebird Powder Day. Several of the days it was raining on the lower mountain, and new skiers and riders could have been frustrated, but I skied several top to bottom laps and the snow was fast and fun. Wednesday was also great weather, but without new snow. Groomers were finally skied consistently, and there was no ice in sight. Thursday was horrible visibility in the Alpine, and it started to warm as well.
15 minute waits from Creekside on powder mornings. Peak Chair was very crowded on the weekend until well after noon. We had to work to always find good snow. West Bowl, Frog Hollow, Cockalurum, Lesser Flute, Peak to Peak Trees, Robertson’s, Flute Hike, Outer Limits…
