Crystal - 02/04 Sun, More Cold smoke snow

Ski Report - Warmer? Less windy? Less folks on the slopes? More sun? Better grooming? More cold smoke new! Old man legs! #1 skiing strong (and warmer than I)! Fun day watching folks skiing The King and hearing about EH repeats...not many folks skiing the front side of REX! That light smoke didn't bond well with the burnt toast underneath. North facing slopes prime...for me GV "lazy" Bowl. Runs I did over on FQex with #1 had great carving cold grooming with very nice left over deep! snow over on SlowSilver area when #1 finally let us leave. Lots of downhill racers and rug rats that need lessons. No real lift lines and operations seemed to be working okay today. Still another fun day on the slopes.

Other - Shared some Freedom Fries at CB lodge...barby sauce is excellent! Felt warm walking into the lodge, by the time we left it felt kinda cold. Everything else food wise is the same old same old never ending quality food that Xtal is serving up. Hear such nice comments about the food at other ski areas...real food!

Other Other - Morning drive up was the worst most painful morning I've enjoyed in a very long time.... Frozen ice-covered truck, frozen ice-covered roads from our house all the way to the Claw...and big bonus? Following a snowplow at 35mph from way too early to way to late after Greenwater...ouch! String of cars was pretty big. Special folks parking was impressively full, A lot was pushing way past 1/2, B lot was almost full, C lot was also almost full, D lot had cars and a lot of folks driving up as we left...lordy!
