Crystal - 01/14 Busy $62 Tuesday

Ski Report - Lots of trepidation because of the $62 Tuesday (heard 2200 at least)...it was definitely a busier than normal Tuesday. Filtered sun most of our morning from clouds blowing off of Rainier...very pretty...lots of views in all directions. Massive grooming on Xtal's part and most of it was very good. Little Port, BS (first of the season), LS wall to wall, MIFB, Big Pro and a lot of the Valley plus FQex runs for #1. I didn't do BS today, but noticed someone making it look pretty good late morning. Lift lines I did when I did them were not too bad with the whole mountain open. PB and BP looked nice and was verified by a reliable source. Only off piste I did was center line of GV Bowl which had nice smooth baby bumps - just right for old me. Got #1 down MIFB today even with the downhill want to be racers. Lots of folks from other places - Stevens P?

Other - #1 had another gluton free burger bomb at CB lodge which was not to crowded when we were in there....I had left over homemade breakfast sandwich (breaking the law! as were a lot of other folks). Pizza was being made, and all the other quality foods being served this season were available - huh. Food service this season? Check out the article in the Seattle Times this last Sunday - the writer was definitely not impressed with the base food court.

Other - Special folks parking was overflowing today, rest of A made the 3/4 full, B was packed and as usual had some bad parking rows, C looked full as did D, E and H....ouch! Drive up early was at speed and pleasant, drive down was even more pleasant in the sunshine...lots of flashing light cops heading up as we left? Fun day all in all...as usual.

Agree on all counts that it was way more crowded than a usual Tues, groomers were great but the surface was fast so saw lots of near misses. Explored PB, GV bumps and found a decent but not consistent surface. Was hoping for a warm up with the inversion but didn't happen while I was there.
