Crystal - 01/07 Great Weekday Day

Ski Report - Great "real" finally weekday skiing for the "old" folk's regulars! Started nice and sunny with a small crowd for CHex, gradually got a few high clouds that kinda came and went while we were there. Groomers I did were prime after a second night of work. LS,Big Pro Course, MIFB! All fun and I'm sure everywhere else. Twas very happy center line of GV Bowl...soft enough, baby bumps, good vis, legs still working! Ultra-light crowds this season made for a pleasant day, a true weekday. Snow quality is still great but might have gotten more sun impact today (MIFB was definitely changing). I'm sure more good posts will say a lot about a lot of other great places...can't wait to read them. For me legs are finally feeling better and the EXP's are clicking into overdrive.

Other - Passed through CB lodge to harass the workerbees! Especially the Pizza head guy! They had food at CB and the soup report is not looking good...but maybe? I hear that Xtal reads the emails sent to them.

Other Other - Special folks lot pretty full (sorry Mike), rest of A was pushing 4/5's? B lot was fullish past the Porta Potty station. C seemed kinda full of cars...definitely the emptiest I have seen the parking lots in a very long time. Drive up had some painful moments, drive down was blissful. Very Nice Day.

Badgered into reporting by ddk. Yes, groomers were in very good and fast shape. Seems like off piste was damaged by the Sunday rain event. We didn't try much but what we did was frozen in place and rutted. PB was a scary, no-fall zone. LS bumps section 1 was doable but not much fun. Section 2 was groomed flat. Took one Kellys Gap run but stayed on the cat track around lower E. Heard E was dangerous. On the lower mountain, my preference was Bull Run over Deer Fly. Pretty icy but with a little bit of carveable stuff here and there. Finished the day on FQ to relax and ski some different runs.
Weather started sunny with thin, high overcast but got gloomier and gloomier as the day progressed.
