Crystal - 01/06 Happy Weekdays are Here Again

Ski Report - Big Blue Bird sunny day...could see from at least Adams to Stuart to Glacier Peak to Mt Baker to.....hhhhmmmm don't remember looking west towards the Olympics....Lordy I don't remember noticing the Big Bump? Ouch? Must have been pretty! Snow quality and grooming that I skied was way better than I expected...temps yesterday looked warmish...didn't notice it much on the upper mountain, felt cold to me today. Pro Course to MIFB early with alternating warm up the old quads runs down LS....light early crowd was pleasant. Finally started to wake up the legs skiing Gondy Tower GV Bowl center! Nice baby bumps and still real soft left overs from the weekend. A few random lift stops when I was heading to FQex got me all the way to the base to suffer a second Chex ride. For a Monday the crowd seemed busy...had to ride Rex with folks...almost rode a lift with Binx...OH NO! Fun quad leg workout with great sun and views and sufferable crowds.

Other - Took the trek up FQex to see if anything really is happening at CB lodge...and Lordy they were cooking real food...sadly no pizza (had a new found glut free pizza crust the last couple of nights! Twas very good...better than the Xtal cardboard curst). Busy in the lodge, busy at the base as I left ultra late for me this season....11:30 OH MY!).

Other Other - Special folks lot looked to be pushing full, A lot was almost full, B had lots of crappy parking rows the first 2/3's and packed tight the last 1/3rd....seem to remember that C was pretty crammed as was D....and that was pretty much it....and lordy the parking lots told me that it was not a real weekday yet...maybe tomorrow for #1. Drive up in the dark was pleasantly fast...drive down early was even more pleasant...Fun Day...quads are getting stronger....maybe soon I'll be able to ski with Binx - till the early afternoon...ha ha!
