Crystal 1/3/2025 Low viz

The low visibility did not help when trying to discern the difference between hard bumps and slight drifts early. We headed for the trees, Memorial, Doors, BP, upper downhill/K2, etc. All were similar, hard underneath and a few inches off soft, slightly heavy new. It was difficult for me to let the skis run without overdoing my speed limit. We finally found the best conditions in the Cisco trees making several repeats. About 12:30 I actually saw shadows while riding REX so took a nice GV run to Ferkburg. With the better visibility it was easier to spot and turn on the soft snow and just slide over any scrapey sections. With the better viz, I took a final run on PB that was not ideal but reasonably fun. Then did the LS bumps so completed the day without a single LS groomer; my definition of success. Later did a couple of lower Bull Runs that were pretty good.
We only encountered a couple of lines on FQ. Did not ski GV. Heard NW was very good with no lines. All lots were full except F was about 1/3. Lots of cars heading out at 1pm and running 50-60.
