Stevens last Night Screaming Fast

Last night was one of those 33° and snowing, you're gonna get wet nights. I made it through with a lot help from my best Gore-Tex coat, rubber gloves with liners, waterproof REI rain pants and a skigee. The snow was surprisingly good. I thought it would be a lot more chewed up by the big daytime crowd. The groomers were edgible, there was no ice and the slushy piles were easy to blast through. Unfortunately it was a groomers only night as the off piste was grabby, mankey, ligaments stretching crap. There were some new groomers, Showcase on Bigger Chief, Crest Trail on Tye, Blue Trail on Hogs and some short connector trails. As I said in my title the snow was fast. The place was pretty empty so you could just bomb and not have to worry about the unexpected. The visibility is always pretty good at night with frequent help from the skigee. The coverage was nice, snow is starting to pile up. Very little puckerbrush and no rocks. The drive up and down was good. All in all a very fun night bombing groomers.
