Crystal - 12/11 Not Blue Bird

Ski Report - Short version, morning filtered sun, ultra-light crowd, pretty nice grooming in places (FQex and GVex). Plenty of brown snow and gravel to pay attention to. Very fun day all in all after my wimpy legs stopped hurting! Sun was really popping out when we bailed.

Wordy version - Not a Blue Bird sunny day...at least not early. High thin clouds with bursts of sun...Pretty nice conditions all in all. I was incredibly nice? Huh? and skied with #1 first thing today on FQex! Ouch! Well it was still very pleasant with the lack of crowds and reasonably nice grooming...some areas on FQex were definitely nicer than others. Lack of human participation helped. Bailed on #1 and did a few runs up top...GV Bowl at least once, GV groomers a couple of time....LS more than once....and hooked up with #1 and got her up top for a few runs! Rocks in places, still surprisingly good based on the lack of real recent snow...hopefully this next few days and this weekend will bring some more new.

Other - Most of the lodges are still in the new xtal world.... though they have opened Rafters (new name?) for early morning wimps to sit in a warm place indoors! Yee Haa...but it was almost to warm. All the other lodges are in lock down mode till the 10:30 opening...Not good for folks on FQex if you need a bathroom to early! Xtal always says don't comment at guest services.... send an Email! Somebody actually reads emails...but doesn't listen to actual verbal comments? Aaaahhhaaa another new season.

Other Other - Lifts running prime (even FQex with the new battery pack). No real participation today, no lift lines, only had to ride with other folks occasionally (except for #1). Special folks parking big and empty, rest of A maybe half full, B full past the shuttle stop and C did seem to have a lot of random parking. Drive up and down was easy all in all...for me the last three days might equal one day for Binx! My idol!
