Crystal - 12/09 Holiday?

Ski Report - Great big sunny views, Blue Bird sky, fairly cold top to bottom, cold head wind riding FQex and the top of Rex, very busy for a Monday in early December? Snow quality on the runs we skied was greatly improved from last week's spring skiing, but still had lots of hard nasty ice in high traffic areas. Even the runs I did with #1 on FQex were not as good as I had expected. Heard rumors of really cheap tix's? Kids ski free? Didn't really see that many kids - should be in school anyway. A lot of Downhill racer wannabes made for a very tense #1 (even bothered me)....lots of no clue race past and cut in front of you....gotta say I really hate that (#1 hates it even more). Bailed a lot earlier than expected. Twas a very pretty day! And we did have some fun.

Other - Lift lines not bad...well CHex, FQex, Rex and GVex (early for GVex). No clue on soup...should have checked to see if it is gonna be a long season with no Chicken Noodle soup. #1 had a very tasty hot choc at the base before we left.

Other Other - Drive up and down at pleasant speed with light traffic early morn and still mellow when we left way to early....lots of cars streaming up still at 11:30. Special folks lot had lots of cars in it, rest of A was pushing towards full, B and C were maxed out full...Ouch! and I think D was full also.... Double OUCH! Still had fun as usual...though I expected more fun.
