Crystal - 12/05 Another Spring Day

Ski Report - Another of the never-ending spring skiing this December...Ultra-light crowd, warm, mostly sunny with some high clouds, big views, okay grooming in places and not so okay in other places mainly from sun impact this week. More dirt and rocks showing. Still was fun to get some more turns and exercise the quads. Rode the bucket for the first time this season...since it was mostly empty - only time I'll ride it. Hopefully some new white stuff happens on Sunday or things will be getting ugly.

Other - Did an end of my short day by visiting all the eating venues to check things out...food up top looks expensive and somewhat fancy as usual, CB lodge was still grab and go with rumors of maybe food some day in the future (this weekend?), Fish Shack was mellow and the base lodge was empty with very little food and the same soup as every other day...Minestrone (apparently the vegy option? Gonna be it all winter?). Socialized with the Alcohol Enforcement employee...nice guy...but still kinda funny new job at Xtal.

Other Other - Special folks parking had 6 cars today, rest of A had 2 and a half rows, C almost empty except around the shuttle stop and B did not fill up to the shuttle stop and that was about it. Drive up and down was mostly pleasant except for the truckers that only go the speed limit (faster) in the nice passing zones....especially the massive propane truck (Xtal is gonna be going through a lot of propane this season with all the out door heaters - very green!).

Other Other Other - Big news is that today was Binx's B-day....Congrats.
