Stevens, First Day 12/4

It was 16° when I pulled into the parking lot but at the top of skyline it had to be at least 15° warmer. Skyline had the Ridge and the Bowl groomed at the top but just the main gut run groomed for the middle part and then about three options for the last deep place. Ty had Rock and Blue as it's only groomer. I tried some of the other runs with mixed results which was mostly one and done. Kerrs chair, Bigger Chief, was the run of the day. It had not been groomed except for a very narrow swath right down the middle. On either side of that were some nice smallish bumps with very edge able snow. Beautiful sunshine and empty. It was well worth going even with the limited amount of skiing.
