Crystal - 01/23 Great day for March!

Ski Report - Kinda waiting for the CD report? PB? Life?

So, since he has not posted yet...here is my to many words report....

Kinda a little of everything...ultra icy parking lot, snowing wet stuff early before the lifts opened...ultra-light crowd (DUH!), but a number of the old folks regulars....by the time we walked out of the condom to load CHex the clouds were parting...had sun breaks multiple times all morning...and fog outs always on the edge...got hot! down sized head warmer and gloves...skied some fun stuff and some very not fun stuff (MIFB was totally IB today with no grooming and lots of fun frozen snow balls to ski around...lucky the vis was good then) Did a run-down GV Bowl center ...actually pretty good all in all...probably got better as it got skied. Never went farther north, did a number of okay LS runs, hooked up with #1 at CB lodge and skied most of FQex runs - mostly all okay. Heard lots of Southback bombing mid-day and some nice slides off the King. Ended up a funny fun weird kinda day....made it into the late afternoon - 1pm! Traffic is terrible in the lowlands that late in the day.

Other - Met #1 in CB lodge mid-morning...things looked grim in there, but there was heat today. Bounced back kinda late morning since sometimes they have food there? Not as much today! Glut free Burgers - not....its a Tuesday? No staff and not enough folks buying expensive food to make it....oh well....#1 had the Vegan soup thingy with lots of rice....she said it was pretty good....hhhhmmmm....I had a pepperoni pizza that did not have many pep's on it...did locally complain...lots on the other pizza's. Soup was Tomato Bisque again! OUCH! Main guy at CB lodge (very nice guy) said he txted his big boss about that! Maybe we could get a bag of some other kinda soup? Tripple C? Wouldn't even suggest Chicken Noodle!

Other Other - Drive up on 410 was very pleasant both ways today...kinda felt a little bit like March! Pay lot might have been pushing 1/3, B was a very wide spaced mess, C actually had a fair number of cars. Didn't notice any Elk again today...lucky.

Other Other Editorial - A lot of new management decisions made this year...don't open the base area condom before 8am? Cutting the staff in half at CB lodge.... doubling the price of most items and overcharging for tasty other items - glad I got one before I realized the price.

PB report. Did it twice and would have gone a third if not foggy on CB side. There was a good but narrow line in the (side entry cheaters) center chute line. Too far left, rock, ouch! (run one) Too far right, heavier snow. (run 2) Mama bear in the middle, very happy. Other than that, the day met (mediocre) expectations, but we take what we can get this year.

When you talk of the condom. Are you talking about the yurt? Seems like everything is getting expensive. Just heard on the morning news, Washington State has the 4th most expensive grocery prices in America
