Crystal - 01/02/2024 Happy New Year (finally)

Ski Report - Only skied a few hours with #1 for her first "real" day on FQex...just the right amount for both of us in this sad early season. Grooming was actually very good and the crowd was light enough to help the conditions stay okay. Kinda cold eastish wind and also the fact that we were skiing on FQex, which always makes me cold. No lift lines noticed today. Very few of the "regulars" out today. High overcast with some light snow around 11am. There are lots of rocks, but they make nice things to dodge around. Fun to get out finally after to many rainy days or dang social obligations on nice sunny days.

Other - Went into CB lodge to warm up...NOT! Didn't feel like much heat was blowing. Limited food options the new expensive personal pizzas and the way to expensive baked pastries. Soup was gonna be Butternut Squash (maybe) when it got heated finally...think there were staff shortages.

Other Other - A lot might have been pushing 20%, B had cars to the Honey Bucket stop, C had a fair number of cars all over the place...so there must have been a few fools on the slopes today. Drive up and down were at happy speeds with light traffic and no elk noticed.
