The rain, freezing rain. never materialized. In fact it snowed pretty good for about an hour in the middle of the morning. The lines were never bad and mellowed out about 11 o'clock. Most of the time after that it was just ski on. Kehrs [ Bigger Chief ], Hoggs, Skyline and Daisy we're open. Rumor has it Tye Mill will open tomorrow. The Stevens Pass fog bank was doing its thing, but it was never totally awful except for last couple of runs where are the snow has turned to a very fine mist, the light got really flat and the goggle wiping was multiple times for a run. We left soon after that happened. Skyline has the best snow and the best coverage. Hogs was pretty limited with some bare patches, sticks and stuff. Grooming was limited but better than last week. There's still firm scrapy stuff especially in the center of the groomers. Bare patches and rocks are starting to show up in multiple places. A few off piste areas skied really well. It was a day where we expected the worst and it turned out to be OK. It was fun. Glad we went.
