Arrived to overcast skies that turned full-on sun with big views by 9:30. Skiing was marginal at best. My one run down GV left was barely doable at the top and down right dangerous on the bottom half, particularly the last face before the chair. After poking around, the best runs were upper Lucky Shot to a groomed Chicken Shot. On Forest Queen, the grooming was pretty good, but very firm. One section of Downhill was dirt and required some maneuvering. Queens Run was fine top to bottom. Around 11, the sun started to soften the frozen chaos on Lucky Shot, but it was very rocky.

The new sun deck at the bottom of REX has a yurt on it (not yet open). And, the unfinished lodge at the bottom (now scheduled to finish almost a year late) and the dirty, uneven crushed rock floor in the white tent are an embarrassment.
