Now that roots passes work on weekends and good snow reports had to go both days noon-close. Both days good, N stuff had less crunch underneath and many fine powder turns were had. Skied north, and last runs on E which had more crunch under the new snow, guessing same for anything with sun exposure. A-lot parking both days no questions about my weekday parking permit when arriving just after 12. A-lot 3/4 full, others full including lots of cars in H and F. Disappointed to find no beer window on patio anymore, wtf? Elk was busy! Next few days should be good.

Now the Wordy report: You got it spot on with the snow. It was a good day to ski Crystal. My son and his daughter with me in tow ariived early to park front row of B, it was an easy walk up “headache hill”. Great to chat with “ The Ferk” on the way up and proud to introduce my granddaughter to him, she asked who he was and my son and I went on and on for about 20 min. He is legendary and ageless. We were not there to ski Crystal but rather to enroll my granddaughter in the “She Jumps Jr Patrol” program, we got her registration done fast and the young lady in a Black Jack said “you got time to take a few laps, “ out the door the three of us went, Crystal looked like it was going to ski well as we rode the lift up with the Boss man Red Coat Brent O, he filled us in and we did the same to him on many friends we share with the kindred spirit of the mountains. We luckyed down and we could now feel that Crystal was indeed going to ski well. We skied all the drops left and right of the mail slot of lucky and got her down to meet up with all the Female Badasses of the Red Coats and it was a who’s Who of Red Coats Bad Asses after a few photos, my son and I headed North, we “ he” knows where the deep stuff is at Crystal and we ( he) found it. It was a great day to ski Crystal and even better day to be in the mountains with my son and granddaughter who can rip and she had a great day with some of the best female skiers in the world, she was in good hands the whole day and for her to hike and close the King and ski Hourglass was the icing on the Cake, she said “ Grandpa, the snow was over me knees” Crystal is skiing well.. thank you Crystal for doing the She Jumps” , no soup report, just ski it till your legs quit, which we did.
