Crystal - Mar 27, 2023

Mostly clear today and cold due to the constantly blowing east winds.  Enough to shut down the gondie for a while mid morning.  I'm not sure why Crystal warned skiers on their conditions report this morning that the groomers would be "crispy".  They were much better than last Thursday and Friday and due to the ultra-low crowds today, they held up well.  I skied all the north facing bowls from Powder Bowl to Northway peak and they were all fine.  As the day wore on, GV right turned out to be the run as snow kept blowing up the hill and filling in.  By 11:30, I was locked into GV right to Ferkberg and piled on the vert.  Around 1, clouds were rolling in and started to impact visibility here and there, so left.  Traffic was really fast going home.

Heard there was a nice memorial to Kircher yesterday at the summit house and his wife Kim was there.  Even the Ross-man showed up to pay his respects.
