Ski Report - A little of everything cold today...snowing crazy early, which was getting less intense by lift opening, first ride up REX looked good for vis and new snow....Wrong! Tried to drop into GV Bowl but vis had disappeared...also my first run down MIFB (plus it was boiler plate firm under the new), tried a LS run which was better and finally the vis improved, GV Bowl got fun, MIFB was icy and but carveable and #1 showed up early so we had a lot of fun here and there and somewhere. Grooming was probably good after you could see it. Twas definitely pretty firm on south facing slopes pretty much everywhere we went. Crowd was ultra-light on the slopes...no real lift lines on REX, GVex and FQex plus the added bonus that CHex was working again today and didn't stop when I was on it. Had fun, but twas to short of a day again for various reasons. Saw folks skiing big time off the King in the late morning sun...looked awesome!
Other - Took a earlyish break at CB lodge....#1 had a big Gluton Free Burger, I had left over Stroganoff, which was still good, but not as meaty as Wednesday (plus they dumped the penne pasta into the mix ahead of time...would have been better with a few more penne's). No clue about pizza other than they had some. Crowd pretty mellow in the lodge.
Other Other - Special folks lot still had room, rest of A lot pushing past 2/3's?, B lot 2/3 and C 3/4 and that was the Friday crowd. Drive up and down mostly good, no elk noticed today. Lots of snow on 410 above the DOT station....got to drive in a white cloud behind a snowplow - ouch! Got vertigo at times. Fun day!

Full on sun came out at 10am today and stayed until I left at 1. Unexpectedly nice weather and remained cold all day. Not much wind, which is weird as it's been very windy at my house in town all day. Agree with ddk that the groomers were not nice today, especially when compared to yesterday. Difference was yesterday's new snow was heavier and stuck better to the firm stuff underneath. Today's snow was cold and light and didn't adhere much to the frozen underneath. However...if you found the bowls that had snow blowing into them all night, you didn't have to worry about what was underneath. Oh so nice. Heard a quip I liked while riding the gondie: Skiing steep terrain is all about getting as weightless as possible. Yep.

Skied the mtn edge to edge today. Morning glory was glorious first thing- no crust detected till the gut . North face of the King and Silver from the Beach also great.
