Crystal - Dec. 1, 2022

A lot of sun today until the fog rolled in around 12:30.  A lot of good new snow.  Coverage is improving.  A little more grooming, but not really up to speed, yet.  And, the Campbell Basin Lodge was locked up tight.  There wasn't even access to the bathrooms.  Nice, Crystal.

Two face shots on my first day of the season; both in PB. Pretty cool. Lots of soft snow early but it packed in later. Kind of surprising with the reported cold temps.
Lucky was the worst run on the mountain. I took Chicken Shot on the last run to avoid it. Second to last run was GV lower chair line. Two great turns, then a face first auger in. Legs were/are hurting pretty good but a great first day.
B lot about 98% full with more arriving as I left at 12:30. No elk, and clear roads coming down.

Yes, it was a strange day. Nice sun breaks early but the snow is a bit thicker and grabber than we expected.  It was a bit too much work and we ended up leaving early without doing a lot of adventuring around. It will be nice when they start grooming the upper mountain so the legs can have a break once in a while. Still hardly any lift lines. 

Campbell Lodge was open just not serving food, Great day Southback opened, alot of gumbys struggling on traverse out south. Pain looks good on other people.

Good to know they got the Campbell Basin lodge bathrooms open.  On our way to C6 at 10:20, they were closed.
