What's the 411 on skinning up the now closed-for-the-season hills near Vancouver BC? Cypress/Seymour but more specifically Hollyburn. Sure I can go up the access trail but I'm thinking of skiing out Mountbatten/powerlines and possibly hiking up them.
Hiked up earlier this season on foot, was first time I'd seen top of Mountbatten roped off. Few years back had an unpleasent exchange with some clown on a snowmachine just standing near the top of Mountbatten, still on the way up with my skins still on. Think this was just after Boyne(sp?) Ind. had taken over the concession.
It is a Provincial Park after all.
So, what gives with spring skiing up there these days?
