It was pretty good today. There was from a trace to 2 inches of new over the firm ice/hardpack layer. Off piste is still challenging. In the direct sunlight, on the backside, it did soften a bit but then firmed up again as the sun became obscured by clouds and it got cooler. Most of the day the visibility was pretty good. The best off piste skiing was on Skyline. There was a new,, for this year, groomer right under the last steep face on Skyline. There were no lines to speak of, just an occasional knot of people. I would sum up the day as skiing edgeable firm.
