The official snow total from yesterday was three inches. Because the wind was blowing south to north, all the north facing slopes got loaded with new snow. The groomers were great today and off-piste on the north facers was really nice. South facers not so much. Runs of the day were down Wayne’s Woods off the right side of the Colburn triple. That chair is brutally slow (OK, only 11 minutes, but seems a lot longer than that). A local tipped me off when I was quizzing him as he came flying out of the woods, so off I went. Really steep, narrow in places, and loaded with snow emptying into some very nice untracked glades. Weather was off and on sun and fog. The fog won out at the end of the day and our last run down at 2:45 was by brail.
