Stevens Tue 2/8 Backside

We got to ski the backside. Well at least what you can get to from the Jupiter chair without hiking.  In the morning we traversed out left so we could ski lower Pegasus. It was challenging. There was about 2 inches of heavy snow covering up some pretty firm clumps and ruts. The good news is the groomers were pretty good, especially the edges and there were enough of them. Coverage is still good.  Later in the day the edges and off the edges of the groomers skied well. There were some nice size bumps and they got softer and more fun  The visibility on the backside was nice pretty much all day, with the afternoon getting some high overcast.  On the front side, some areas were pretty good. We skied off piste on both Hogs and Skyline. It should be good tomorrow with more sunshine. We are heading back up on Thursday for a hopefully full on spring skiing.
