Heavenly Valley 12/31/21

      Happy New Year! Heavenly has plenty of snow and all the lifts running! Great sunny day on packed powder - wind blown off piste - unless in north facing sheltered big trees. This is a Vail owned resort, so a comparison to Stevens seems appropriate. My impression was that Heavenly was understaffed, with overworked, disgruntled staff. Shuttles were extremely slow and frustrating. Employees tense and rude when questioned. Bolder wasn’t open and the shuttle wasn’t running back to Stagecoach on any kind of schedule. Staff said could be an hour and a half and walked away. No signs on Olympic said Boulder and Northlands weren’t running…But the north facing Powder was worth it.
