Stevens Wed - BeautifulThere was still some snow on the trees and the sun was shining. Glacier Peak was out as were all the surrounding mountains so it was just beautiful. There were only a few walk up lines and we found a nice outside picnic table for a lunch break. The snow varied from some crunchy kind of frozen to a little bit sticky, but most of it was very skiable. We did Seventh a couple of times, skied the backside, although off piste wasn't so great in the mid morning. The only downside for the day was double diamond and Southern Cross were not running. Later on, Jupiter quit and they did something to the Double Diamond - Southern Cross lift to get it running just to evacuate the people who are stranded on the backside. Fortunately for us we were on the front side. Seventh stopped for about 20 minutes just as we were about to get on it but we took another run and by the time we got back up there, it was back running. There were only three or four people who are stranded during that time. We had four people in our group which doesn't happen often enough. That, with the great weather, made for a most enjoyable day.
