Wow, I forgot how great Mission Ridge can be. Especially with the new, fast, chair 2. Definitely have to come back here and skin the ridge next year.
Highlights:
- ripping long, winding, groomers. I would have to buy some carving skis if I came here more often. really fun.
- Surprisingly good snow off the groomed runs this late in the season (high, dry, and north facing helps a lot)
- zero lines once chair 2 was up and running
- happy to see they run the two-person lifts fast as well
- a terrain park with a rope tow
- breakfast burritos and cold beer at midway
Negatives
- maybe rockier than the more western ski areas? I got one rock gouge but probably due to my lack of familiarity with the area
If they got more snow I might just get a pass here and escape the traffic jam misery of Stevens/Crystal/Snoqualmie. As it is, I'm considering it.
