Ski report - Great blue bird day. Cold at the base early but very nice up top, ultra light crowd for this season, great groomers early (well LS and MIFB is all I did), started the morning lapping GVB/MIFB and one LS groomer - CH6 open, gotta go, started my first line down the center of PB, all nice with the new 2 to 4 cold snow, got to just below the center spines and something happened that hasnt happened in a very long time and never for the EXP's - OUCH! caught a edge, did a nice face plant (neck is still kinda sore from the whiplash), left ski pops off, googles go flying and praise the force we all stopped together after not to much sliding - did I say OUCH! Gave the Binx crowd a nice laugh (more to follow I am sure). Snow was good in PB, so went right back to redo the scene of the crime a couple more times with the last including a BP's cause I thought the snow might have gotten soft from all the hot sun - nope! BP's probably eventually got okay but I never tried again. Did PB for my last run and did a lot of GVB/MIFB and LS bumps to make myself feel better. No crowds, no lift lines, one of the best spring days so far. Ready for more days like today. Views were from Hood to Baker and the Olympics with a nice ocean of clouds in the low lands. Again a great day!
Other - No clue about food on the mountain, no time today plus I had a really good German deli Sandwich from Hess Bakery in Lakewood! Drive up and down was mostly pleasant. Ready for a nice St Patty's day tomorrow with #1.

Dan, did the south slopes soften in the afternoon?

Sorry David, I being the number 1 wimp for long days this season only made it to 1pm(long talk in the parking lot with the Grubs). It was very soft on the last areas I did and
very warm, only negative pointed out by one of the real hard core good skiers was that the 2 to 4 new snow kept the firm ice layer insulated from the sun and stayed very firm
and he also told me if more real skiers were around to ski a line on old SunnySide it could have been great (or the current REX chair line). Do to a very nice light crowd not much chance of that today. If this was Tahoe and we did not get any more new snow and had nothing but days like today it would be a incredible spring ski season - we can only hope that the new global warming will move the "great" old days of Tahoe up here - before we don't get any snow.
