Heavenly Spring day 3/13/2021

A "normal" California Spring Skiing day ended this portion of our trip. Cold in the morning, and a very nice warming all day, without a cloud in the sky. No Sierra Cement this whole trip! It was such a cold storm, Heavenly pulled a Sun Valley and the snow was good all week! No Stevens/Whistler frozen back sides of the bumps! And the bumps stayed small on the groomed, and soft and big on Waterfall, and Gunbarrel - at least at noon when I skied it! Kathy had another great day traversing the whole mountain, and winding her way down the scenic Roundabout to the California Lodge. Pinnacles is a new run for me and I finally got to ski it, as it doesn't always hold snow well...Very scenic small tree dodging...And I saw where you could drop over to Cali from the top of Olympic! I had never noticed that before. Could be some good storm skiing there!
