Crystal - 03/09 Happy Days are Back again

Ski Report - Very nice yin and yang kinda day. Arrived typically anally early, pleasant conversation in the CHex line with the other anally early folks (lots of BINX jokes that most everyone has heard). Early opening again around 8:30. Early morning looked sunnyish, but that rapidly disappeared in a nuking snow storm during the 9:30 to 10:30 hour. Lots of early GV Bowl happy wind reloaded baby bumps - fun - and MIFB smooth carveable high speed more fun (many early repeats). As the storm blew in I headed over to FQex to ski (way to many) nice groomer runs with #1 (the Original). Had fun but it was cold and windy and snowing crazy. Did a nice pleasant social in CB lodge (very nice half a glutton burger). And as usual during that warm up event - the clouds cleared and the sun came out and PB was calling - and PB was very nice (got some repeats, should have done more). Due to the trying to get warm in CB lodge we actually made it into the afternoon! Ouch!  Big! Had a nice PB run with the Ferkinator - great to see him. Sun was out in full force when we sadly (me) left.

Other - CB lodge is really walk in pick your food and warm up, nice to have that option on days that start windy and cold. Pay lot was over half full, B just made half, C 3/4ish and that was pretty much it.   No lift lines at all - had to work to find a single to talk to when I was solo. Drive up pleasant enough and drive down cruise control mellow. Nice very day for #1 (the Original) who was very happy with the end of season crowds!
