Ski Report - Sun to filtered sun, windy up top, cold east wind!  Blowing REX chair line direction. Very nice wind blown snow in GV Bowl! Many repeats early, MIFB was smooth enough and just carveable for my dull EXP edges. PB was worth repeats - also with wind deposit snow, did BP's once but not as good for me as LS bumps. Groomers I did (MIFB and LS early were nice - grooming was very nice from what I could see everywhere). Crowd ultra light for a Monday this season - no lift lines noticed. Very nice morning with big high speed laps making lots of vert for the Hamster. Wind was slowing down when I left. Fun morning with no standing around time and lots of happy bump skiing!

Other - Drive up was okay with one kinda variable slow person leading the pack up, drive down was cruise control happy.   Pay lot maybe 2/3, B just over half, C pushing full and a few cars in D and that was it. Elk in the ranch area on the drive down.

Yes, nice visibility all day and the cold east winds let up around 11am.  From south to north: Powder Bowl, GV Right, GV Chairline, Grubstake, and Snorting Elk Bowl Right all much improved over last week.  The couple inches of snow they got blew over the ridges and dumped into the north facing slopes softening and smoothing them.  As long as you stayed above 5800 feet.  I found that out with my one trip down Bear Pits.  The top was very nice big soft bumps.  Woohooo.  Until 2/3 of the way down.  Not so good and didn't do a repeat (too many other nice areas).  And, with the total lack of lines today, hit our second highest vert of the year.  Nice not having to stand around in a lift line on a cold morning like today.

The run of the day was the top half of Northway Peak. The bottom half was still fun. I tried Outer Feks to avoid another run down Lucky Shot. The snow tight against the trees was nice ,however the bumps were a bit too big for my liking so one and done. Powder Bowl main chute was a close second for run of the day. Green Valley Gondi Face was loads of fun. then if you stay off the groomers going down skiers right of the  main groomer below GV Bowl and then going down beyond the left edge of the last steep place groomer made for a really fun run. Iceberg and lower Lucky Shot were both firm and you needed to pile ski, and yes visability was never an issue.
