With a summit at 11,053 and a base at 7,953 and 3,500 acres, it's BIG. On 2 days we parked at The Mill lot. Walk 40' and you are on snow just below the Stump Alley express. It is the base area to start from to "cut in half" the terrain and to ski on the lookers right side of the mountain.
My plan. It was another sunny day with very little wind, few riders, and no lift lines.Yes. We rode Stump Alley express, Unbound express with the "Unbound" terrain parks, Face Life, Gold Rush, Upper and Lower Panorama gondola, Broadway, chair 23, then the Back Side with chairs 12, 13 and 14. The Back Side was quiet and the old chairs made it a pleasant day. It would be great on for a powder day in the Hemlock.
The groomers were perfect. The black runs were also groomed. There is a "gulley" run that Jill loved and insisted on doing a couple of times. Young "kid". We both really like Mammoth.

Oh man, this brings back memories. I lived in the LA area for 5 years, and went to Mammoth several times a year - a pretty special place, I gotta say. Parking at the Mill, and riding chairs 12-14 (or chair 9 on the other end of the resort) were the way to do it on busy weekends. Thanks for the walk down the memory lane : )
