I skied Thursday and Friday at White Pass. Thursday was a raging blizzard with only the main high-speed quad chair open. The backside and all the other chairs were closed because of the wind. The snow was coming down horizontally but if you were tough the skiing was great. It was free refills at its best. I've skied mostly right back under the chair with variations to assorted tree lines. I would take a run and be unable to find my track the next run. The blow in snow was nice and fluffy and accumulated to about 6 inches on the lower part of the mountain where I was skiing a groomer back to the left. It was one of those well, one more run, that one was really good, kind of days. There was a bit of a line in the morning but most of the light weights went home early and all the afternoon was ski on.
Friday started out stormy and the morning report said the lifts were on wind hold, so I goofed around until the report said lifts open and the backside open. I didn't start skiing till about 9:45 and went straight to the Couloir chair to ski some trees. The snow was most excellent. I did multiple laps hiking up the ridge and coming down through the big trees. The powder in the trees was just excellent, super dry and bottomless. The hike was starting to wear me out so I took a brief break at the upper mountain lodge which had picnic table seating outside. Back to the trees until I couldn't do the hike anymore. Fortunately chair four was running which gives nice access back to the top of the mountain so I got a good run back to the car. I quit about 3 PM. This was my best day of the season.

I rode Chair 4 at about the same time you did. When I got home I checked the NWAC weather data for Pigtail Peak at 3 PM - wind gusts up to 56 MPH! As you mentioned, the skiing was great if you could take the punishment.Quick foot wrote: Fortunately chair four was running which gives nice access back to the top of the mountain so I got a good run back to the car. Great to hear about best days! At the end of my first run on Friday at Stevens I said "that was one of the best powder runs of my life!"
Those are the days we live for!
