Vail figured something out this week. Bombs going off early, chairs loading early, parking lots not full to exploding. Best day of year, some wind affected aspects, but boot deep, no lines, good vibes everywhere.
All lifts working, appeared to be extra lifties (new trainees?), visible ski patrol. Not sure if everyone gave up on Stevens and went to Crystal today, or if Vail actually limited ticket sales. Whatever it was, it was a great, unusual for this year, experience.
