We arrived early at the Timberline parking lot at 6000’ with snowy, windy conditions. It was so windy that they took down the flag! This was not a problem as we were skiing the tree lined slopes downhill from the lodge. Yes, we know these are not steep slopes, but there are a few steep sections, and tree skiing protected us from the wind and helped with visibility. In addition, the runs held the snow and made for great cruising. There are four express quads. Yes, 4 since they replaced the old 3-seater Pucci lift with a new 4-seat express in the summer of 2020. It’s now a 3-minute ride with several runs coming down to the base of the lift. There is also Bruno’s old beginner chair lift. There were no crowds, and we spent the morning cruising on 2” of powder from overnight. We enjoy riding in the terrain parks around the terrain ‘features’. Timberline resort is a Powder Alliance member. After skiing we headed north for another powder day.
