Ski Report - Well it was not yesterday! Light crowd early, light crowd all day - why? Cause it was very cold - coldest this season, windy - howling on top of REX, Cloudy and foggy up top of REX - much more pleasant a couple of hundred of vert lower. Best snow? anywhere you could see. Valley was nice when the vis was good, West Face was happy, MIFB had good vis and nobody around so it carved nice all morning, LS upper bumps helped warm me up, Windy pass was a snow pelting nasty. Had a few late morning runs on FQex which was weather wise more pleasant. #1 said she had a nice morning, I survived with my first cold feet of the season (has been pretty mild till today). Snow quality is improving, but the east winds were scouring some areas. Saw a fair number of folks heading into BP's - must have been good.
Other - As noted it was a light crowd, no real lift lines anywhere I was. Pay lot maybe pushing a 1/4 full, B halfish and C 3/4ish and that was it. Drive up this morning was not as painful as yesterday, drive down was early enough to be pleasant. Snowing when we left, windy and cold and it took me a while to warm up....But still a fun day on the slopes and #1 is fired up for tomorrow....huh? Lordy!

Ditto ddk. We could have survived the cold and even the wind, but the lack of visibility on the upper mountain really messed up what would have otherwise been a good day. The doors were not the place to find visibility in the trees. That one run hurt. However, Bear Pits was the go to. Just low enough to be out of the fog, good visibility, and really nice snow until we skiied it out. Then, we went home. Feet are almost warm again.

Wind chill of -7 was hard to take. There was some good snow with bad vis, some visibility with new over icy bumps, some very firm groomers with swirling snow blowing up the hill, and one area of steep trees with 8” of untracked. Many round trips by the 4 of us left it a mess of icy bumps. Looks like they shut down the top shortly after our frozen bodies climbed into warm cars.
