Kinda late report for a sadly way to early quit on my part - why? Early on demintia or ?  Hopefully not
yet...mostly cause for the second time in my long Xtal life I arrived at the bottom of CHex and said - "Were
(what ever word you want to use) are my googles? Ouch! Dang! Me oh my! Not a good start mentally.
Otherwise - Icy nasty snowing (goggles? Sunglasses just dont work for me unless its big sunny and 60), actually
nice snowing, but not enough to cover the  icy stuff.  One early lap down GV Bowl skier rightish (maybe not far
enough), survived nice baby icy bumps (goggles would have helped). Did the LS blizzard stuff, with out goggles
not worth the suffering. (#1 reported that her run with Trista was not so pleasant).  Rocks, icy, thin
grooming slots ( at the bottom of PB).  So I headed over to FQex to hook up with #1. Did Queens a
number of time, some good, some not so good.  Finished my day with a Queens to SnowGarden to Chair 4 area...
some nice and the vis improved for my sunglasses.  Ouch!  Oh Well...another day on the slopes
Other - No clue about soup, quit to early, crowd was forming on  FQex when I bailed - the other reason
I bailed.  Rocks, grooming good in places, bad in others. Could have been funnier with goggles - dang!
Just loaded a couple old pair into the truck!
Other other - Pay lot was maybe pushing half full, B and C and D and E were pretty  full. Lots
of folks arriving when we left, twas a busy day.

Hey, ddk I was hoping to run into you, and I had extra goggles.  Keep me in mind next time.  Last year I had to have a friend in Greenwater bring ski pants up for me when I forgot mine  :-(.
I made record time from home to Lot B today, my earliest arrival ever.  Very light traffic, and for good reason!  Mostly 1-2" dust on bullet crust, pistes were icy, off piste had little spots to slash at but lots of ice.  Small rocks on almost every run, manageable but far worse than 2 weeks ago.  The slopes were usually almost empty.
I started the day solo.  the gondy line was just 5 minutes.  GV laps were poor, fair, pretty good, with West Face the best of a mediocre lot.  Chair 6 and NW closed, no lines on Chex, Rex or GV.  At noon I joined up with a friend for more knee-grinding laps.  5-10 minute lines developed on GV, which seemed as foggy as GV but that's where everyone headed.  The liftie was definitely not loading according to Xtal's own guidelines; we kept having to say, "Only 2 of us on our chair please."   Turns were fine but conditions made us work all day.
Other:  saw the cafes operating but that's about it.  Lunch was boiling hot tea and tomato soup from a Jetboil on the tailgate, and turkey sandwiches.
Lots more coverage needed still, but it's a-coming....
BTW today made 159 months of TAY for me.

I keep a gym bag with a full second ski gear kit in the back. Never know when you or a friend forget or break ski gear and we all know we can't afford to be buying ski gear at the on mountain shops!!!
